Ashgate Hospice is a wonderful charity and one that my family hold really close to their heart. They undertake excellent work and a number of our family members have been under their brilliant care over the years. Therefore, I can think of no other charity I would rather endure my first marathon for.

I've been undertaking plenty of half marathons throughout 2023 and I am aiming to undertake one a month (on track as of August). At no point have I finished one of these and thought 'I'd like to or could do that again". So lots of training to do and an honour to be running it for Ashgate hospice as the inspiration to get through it.

London Marathon 2024's #TeamAshgate is full of wonderful runners this year, all working hard to raise money for Ashgate Hospice.

We provide specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses across North Derbyshire. Ashgate hospice also provides support for the families of those we care for, and all our services are available in the community, patients own homes, and in our 21-bed in-patient unit located in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Help our team reach their fundraising targets as they take on one of the most iconic races in the world: The London Marathon!
