Story
STAMMA is the British Stammering Association committed to tackling public perceptions of what it means to stammer and remove the shame, stigma, intolerance and misunderstanding experienced by people who stammer. They want to make life easier by pushing every organisation to be accessible to people who stammer and normalise stammering. So that people expect it, plan for it, respond better.
My firm, Osborne Clarke, has been supporting STAMMA through our pro bono work for some time and we've been delighted to continue supporting them however we can.
As part of STAMMA's 2025 marketing and lobbying strategy, they are looking to increase their online video content and need to acquire some appropriate editing software and digital cameras.
I'm looking to raise a few hundred pounds to support those efforts by running a long way - twice!
I will be running the Brighton Half Marathon on 2 March 2025 AND the Reading Half Marathon (with my OC colleagues!) on 23 March 2025. Two halfs count as a whole marathon, right?
Those of you who know me personally will know that I've not run seriously for well over a decade but, having lost 25kg in the past couple of years, I'm determined to make a good showing and make my return to long-distance running as worthwhile as possible!
I'd be really grateful for any donations that you might be able to make - not least as Osborne Clarke will very kindly be matching all donations!
Thank you!
