Story

Nick McKinney and his wife, Jordan, have been married for 9 years with three beautiful children named: Ford (5), Collins (2) and Fisher (1). Over the last 5 years, he and his family have enjoyed a family tradition of experiencing the Galaxy of Lights around the Christmas season. The impact the Galaxy of Lights has had on he and his family during this tradition is what inspired him to join this year as a Give to Grow the Garden Ambassador. He and his family are so excited to enjoy the butterfly exhibit this spring/summer as well as the famous Thomas Dambo Troll exhibit upon completion.

Professionally, Nick serves as the First Vice President of Commercial Banking with SouthState Bank in Huntsville. He has spent his entire 12-year professional career in the banking industry and most recently the last 7+ in commercial banking with the same management team. Nick also serves on the board of directors for The Food Bank of North Alabama, The Community Free Dental Clinic, and The Huntsville Hospital Foundation Development Council. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and ABA Commercial Lending School at SMU in Dallas, TX. In his spare time, Nick enjoys being outside with his family, all things sports (especially The University of Alabama), and CrossFit.
