As most of my friends already know my family lost my younger brother Gearoid to suicide over 20 years ago.It was a particularly bad time for suicides in Cork in general and Kinsale and the surrounding towns in particular with the loss of 3 of our friends in a short space both before and after his death.And several young lives lost over the following few years in the area.Many of you will remember it.

Pieta was founded in 2006 and has helped over 70,000 people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm.

I'm doing 100 Pushups a Day this November in support of Pieta, to ensure they can continue their work in supporting all those who have been impacted by suicide and self-harm.
