Story

Dear friends,

There was a moment after my first half marathon that I swore to myself I'd never run a half marathon again let alone a full marathon. Well, apparently, my will power is not as good as I thought it was. In a moment of sheer insanity, I've signed myself up for not one, but two marathons in the space of two weeks in April 2025.

I'm running the Paris Marathon on the 13th and the London Marathon on the 27th. I'm doing it for my good friend George, who's as annoyingly persuasive as he is a leader and an inspiration. We're part of a team of runners called Alzheimer's Heroes, and we're running to find a cure for this terrible disease.

So, if you're feeling generous (or just want to revel in my pain and suffering), please dig deep and donate whatever you can. Every penny counts, and it'll help make all those rain-sodden evenings and frosty early mornings worth it in the end.

And if you see me hobbling around Paris or London in April, feel free to shout words of encouragement. Or just offer me a pint. I'll definitely need it.

Thanks for reading, and remember, you're all the real heroes in my book.

Much love,

Nick
