In support of Kidney Wales, a charity close to our hearts, I will be participating in the Cardiff 10K 2024 on the 1st September.

For my story the events of spring 2017 marked a turning point in my life. Diagnosed with poor kidney function since my late teens due to scarring from infant infections, I managed the gradual decline with yearly consultations. However, in spring 2017, I received alarming news that a donor plan was necessary for survival. My wife selflessly volunteered and during January 2018 we both underwent a dual operation, ensuring my life as a father could continue. Since then, my life has regained normality, travel the world with work and I am forever grateful for my wife's love and kindness for this ultimate life saving gift.

Kidney Wales does incredible work supporting patients and families facing similar challenges and promoting excellence in kidney research, education, and treatment.
