Jelly Bean to Autumn supported by Shine
July 2023 Daphne & I returned from France to receive wonderful news - we were to be Grand-Parents, and 'Jelly Bean' would be joining us later in the year. We had to research the next bit of news - 'Jelly Bean' has spina bifida. Thus began our journey with;
Jelly Bean, (the star of the show) who became 'Autumn', and
Shine - the main supporting actor, who became our friend, supporter, and font of all knowledge.
So, to try to help our biggest helper, we are now supporting Shine by taking on the Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) Sunrise Challenge in May 2024!
Natalie & Andy had been told about spina bifida while we were in France, and had been receiving lots of support and good advice from Shine, before we arrived back.
Natalie decided to write a blog, to give awareness about spina bifida, and to show that it's not all doom & gloom. As a result of spina bifida, and this blog, Natalie has made contact with many other people in the same situation. The blog goes into more detail than we can give here, including how Natalie became the 28th person in the UK who's baby was operated on (fetoscopic spina bifida repair surgery) whilst still in the womb: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61552088571793
