Story
Friendship, loyalty, and respect are the foundations of what makes for a good society. They are values found in abundance within our military, who carry these into the outside world.
When I was 50 yrs old, I had a crisis of confidence and to break that, I went back to my old RAF Regiment training base, and completed my 'regimental qualifying run' and raised about a £1000 for Help for Heroes. It made that milestone a little more meaningful.
This year I am 60 yrs old and to deal with that milestone, I'm going to try and complete one of the Royal Marines challenges. More importantly, I am doing it in the name of friendship, loyalty, and respect, by paying forward support and encouragement I have received over the last decade from a couple of bootnecks.
Support me on my journey through the endurance course and iconic Bottom Field as I am put through my paces by Royal Marines Physical Training Instructors. I will be crawling through mud, squeezing through smartie tubes, scaling high walls and pushing myself beyond my limits!
My body is a shadow of its former self and I am genuinely scared. My mind however has become more resilient and I'm going to test if mind over matter is a real thing.
Help me raise vital funds for RMA - The Royal Marines Charity and make the pain and suffering worthwhile!
Thank you! Without support the charity would be unable to continue to offer the vital support for those in need and every penny counts! Thank you for the support, it really is appreciated and makes such a difference!
