Story

On Saturday 22 June, I'm taking part in Pendleside Hospice's "Velocity 2 Zip Line 2024" challenge!

Velocity 2 is the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe; it's located at Zip World near Bethesda, North Wales.

Top speed is over 100mph over 1,555 metres.

Pendleside Hospice is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to provide services that enhance the quality of life for local people living with advancing, long term and life limiting illnesses, through to end of life and in bereavement. Pendleside expects to incur total running costs of around £5.5 million during financial year 2023/2024. With approximately 22% of these costs being funded through NHS grants, the charity needs to raise around £4.3 million from other sources in order to cover the balance of anticipated annual expenses.
