The Wolfpack Project are ambitious about reducing loneliness in the Nottingham LGBTQ+ community, especially for people aged 16-35.

Arron moved from his hometown to live in Nottingham and be closer to his boyfriend.

"I moved to Nottingham to be closer to my partner and found myself completely isolated as I just didnt know anyone else in the area. As my partner works all week, and as I dont yet have a job, I found myself alone all of the time. I felt lonely and like a prisoner at home."

His partner contacted the Wolfpack Project as Arron was becoming increasingly isolated and lonely. Arron lacked confidence, interaction with others and the social skills to be able to meet new people.

The Wolfpack Project met with Arron to help him understand the barriers he faces, and worked with him to help him overcome those barriers and connect with other LGBTQ+ young people in his local area to make friends.
