This autumn I am going to attempt a "MINi-Triathlon" to raise funds for MIN: a 1km swim; the 10km Great Scottish Run; and a 20km bike ride (not all on the same day, I hasten to add.)

Maryhill Integration Network is a registered charity (SC037300), whose aim is to create positive social change by providing a welcoming space and opportunities for connection and collaboration across communities. Their work depends on the support of people like you who share our belief that refugees should be welcomed into society and shown respect and kindness from the moment they arrive. Donors help MIN to continue to provide the essential work they deliver which enables healing from trauma and supports people to thrive in our community.

Asylum seekers receive just £7 per day to cover food, clothing, toiletries, bus fares, phone cards etc. (Those in catered accommodation receive just £9 per week!). MIN operates a small fund to make modest grants to people in real need: e.g. towards school uniforms, bus fares to hospital or essentials for those struggling with the cost of living.
