Story
Richard will be trekking through western Nicaragua in Central America for 10 days for charity. He and his fellow trekkers will be supporting a community with a project to improve the livelihood of locals of a remote village of Rota.
Not only will Richard have the opportunity to deliver first-hand support by building a school and playground for children as well as building multi-use shelter and water tower. It will also allow him to raise money to go towards helping people with barriers of employment to embark on viable career paths in the hospitality industry in the UK.
Richard will arrive in Managua on 21 January 2023 to start a 10 day journey, covering 80 kms over mountains and volcanoes of Telica Volcano, Rota Volcano, Cerro Negro Volcano and El Hoyo Volcano finishing up in Granada.
A little bit about Richard
Richard is a 29 year old, from a little town in The Czech Republic, now living in London working as an Assistant Revenue Manager at The Landmark London hotel. He is charismatic, energetic and always caring for others, making sure they are fine before thinking of himself. He was a volunteer fire fighter for the Ratenice Fire Department in The Czech Republic, where he found his passion for firefighting, helping others and the community.
Richard believes in his core fundamentals of helping others to create a better tomorrow.
