Prostate Cancer UK's 2025 LLHM Team
Campaign by PROSTATE CANCER UK (RCN 1005541 and in Scotland (SC039332))
Prostate Cancer UK's legendary team of runners embarking on a unique charity run through the capital city. It's a run like no other: 13.1 miles where every step brings us closer to a world where no man dies of prostate cancer.

Story

In March 2022, we lost a very special member of our family: Jim-my Dad, Erin’s Grandad to prostate cancer.

Thanks to numerous available treatments, he had battled the disease bravely for 5 years, always trying to live life to the full in order to continue to make precious memories with all his family.

Around the same time, Don, my father-in-law, Erin’s other Grandad, received the same diagnosis but for him radiography was successful. Sadly, we lost him in February 2024 after his battle with four other cancers.

In April 2025, Erin and I will be challenging ourselves, in memory of them both, by running our first half marathon in support of Prostate Cancer UK. We want to raise money for this great cause to allow research to continue in order to develop new treatments and so that men can be offered routine testing for this disease more widely and earlier.

We hope that you can support us to make strides towards ensuring that no more dads, grandads, brothers, sons or friends are lost to this disease.

Thank you for your support and donation.
