Story
Make-A-Wish® UK grant life-changing wishes for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. Niamh is releasing two charity Christmas Songs, 'A Christmas Wish' which she wrote last year, and 'Christmas All Year' which she wrote this year along with Junior Eurovision finalist Niamh Beatrix, in an effort to raise money for this worthwhile cause. Over the past 2 years Niamh has raised £7500 for children's charities through her music and hopes to hit the £10,000 mark this year!
Niamh has teamed up with a local boy, Reuben Mc Nulty, who hopes that by sharing his story will encourage people to donate and help make a wish come true for other boys and girls like the ones he has met over the past year whilst he was attending the Royal Children's Hospital.
Last year Reuben was diagnosed with Sarcoma Cancer which is every parents nightmare. Fortunately for Reuben and his family they received the amazing news that his diagnosis was not as severe as originally thought. Reuben's diagnosis has changed to LCH, initially with the treatment still being chemotherapy.
What seemed like a miracle, Reuben received the news that he did not require chemotherapy due to the tumour reducing naturally. While Reuben still attends the clinic he is reaching full recovery stage. However, he has met lots of children during his journey who are not as fortunate as he has been. Reuben and his parents are keen to share this positive story as a token of their gratitude and to help raise awareness and create wishes for families who have not been as lucky as they have been.
