The team at NFU Mutual Armagh and Markethill are taking to the footpaths and the river Lagan, Belfast to raise vital funds for Air Ambulance NI. On the back of the success from last year’s activities, the Agency raised just shy of £2,000 for the charity and aim to try and surpass this with their 2024 fundraising events.

During the month of May each team member will complete a 26 mile walk, representing the distance from the newly merged NFU Mutual Armagh & Markethill Agency to the Air Ambulance NI headquarters. On Friday the 6th of September employees from the same office will take to the river Lagan, for the annual Team Dragon Boat Race to compete against other local businesses for the Fastest Team Title.

Working in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service to provide Helicopter based Emergency Medical Services for the region, Air Ambulance NI operates 12 hours per day, 365 days a year.

As members of the public, we can help enable Air Ambulance NI to continue its life-saving missions and ensure that those in need receive the care they require in emergency situations.

Many people will not be aware that £2.5 million is needed each year to sustain Air Ambulance operations, meaning as a charity, they rely on donations from the public like us to keep operational.

We hope that this support from the NFU Mutual Armagh and Markethill team will help them to continue their mission to provide outstanding critical care where and when it’s needed most.
