I am taking part in the North Cape 4000 (www.northcape4000.com), a 4,300 km bike race from the foot of the Alps to the Arctic Circle this summer. Originally I wanted to fund-raise only if I completed at least part of it (to stay in the race you need to complete 180km a day) however that proved beyond me to set up.

I want to raise funds for MND research for all the reasons that other people have so eloquently set out elsewhere. It such a terrible disease that currently offers no hope to those who have it, and that feels like a wrong we should be able to address.
