I've joined #teamHospice for this year's Moy Park Belfast City Marathon and help support local people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Starting at Stormont Estate, this year's Marathon route covers all areas of the city, taking in a number of iconic landmarks with plenty of enthusiastic support from local residents.

By taking part in this year's marathon in support of Hospice, I'll be ensuring hospice can continue to deliver our specialist palliative care to local people in your community when they need us most.

As many of you know Chris and Mary Selwood have raised money for this great cause over the years . It does tremendous work for those families with very sick children.

I raised money for them a few years back. Thanks to friends and Belfast property meet.

This is a huge challenge I am going to do. And shows how far I have come from being morbidly obese to now hoping to complete my first full marathon.

Please is you can give any support it will be greatly appreciated.

I fully intend to complete this marathon but if I don't . I hope you understand I am not getting any younger but realise what a great cause this is .
