I'm running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 for Dementia UK because I have first hand experience of seeing how dementia can impact friends, families and loved ones. Dementia UK provide specialist care for sufferers to help maintain their independence, while also providing respite to their carers.

If me dragging my body round 13+ miles of London's streets can raise awareness of these conditions, while also raising funds to help support sufferers and their carers, then it is well worth it!

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
