Alsace Challenge 2023 · 28 September 2023 to 30 September 2023 ·

For 27 years, we have organised cycle events and have raised a huge £4,571,32 mainly for cancer, heart & other medical research charities. Every penny raised has been paid to charity; our participants pay the full fees for event themselves.

Story

This year, I am racing in relay covering over 550 miles in three days across Belgium, Luxembourg & France. At the start, we will be riding the iconic Oude de Kwaremont, followed by the Muur van Geraardsbergen. In short, think dangerous cobblestones especially when wet and a very steep hill. All sensible recreational activities for a 58 year old weighing over 100 kgs. We finish in the Vosges mountains with some very steep climbs.

We are raising money for British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research, along with the amazing Demelza, Childrens' Hospice. Given the cost of living crisis that everybody is experiencing, our charity partners are currently suffering more than ever before in how they fund their various programmes, so our activities this autumn are all the more urgent.

There cannot be a better way to raise money, get fit and look ridiculous in a lycra bib......
