With your gift, these Special Olympics NY athletes get one step closer to achieving their dream. Every Special Olympic athlete begins their gold medal journey at the local and regional level, and then onto State Games. From there, a few exceptional athletes will have the opportunity to compete as a part of Team USA at the World Games level.

These athletes from the North East Westchester Special Recreations' Special Olympics training program have been on an incredible journey together. For over a decade, these remarkable athletes have forged lifelong friendships and shared countless victories on and off the field. Though floorball is a relatively new sport for them, their story is a testament to the power of sport to bring people together and create lasting bonds.

Four dedicated unified partners are thrilled to join forces with the Special Olympic athletes on their inspiring journey to gold! United by a shared passion for sports and inclusion, these partners bring their unique skills and constant encouragement to the team.

With a team motto of “Good Athletes, Better People,” this team embodies the spirit of inclusion, respect, and teamwork, treating everyone with dignity. Their dream of competing on the world stage is finally within reach due to their hard work and by the unwavering support of passionate coaches who have devoted their lives to enhancing the lives of these athletes.
