Story

I’m raising awareness and money for Marcus Stewart and The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Marcus Stewart, a former Bristol, Sunderland and Ipswich football player was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) back in September 2022, and is the reason why I’m raising money.

I will be running the Ipswich half marathon on the 22nd September for MND.

MND is a neurological condition which affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. This can result is losing the ability to do basic things such as feeding and dressing yourself, and it can affect your speech and breathing. The average life expectancy is just 2-5 year from the onset of symptoms. There is no known cause of MND, or cure…. And it is always fatal.
