Preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families.

In late 2023, my friend Sam died suddenly while out for a run with his family. Sam was a healthy young person full of life - and he was only 24 years old when he passed away. Sam died from an aortic aneurysm.

Cardiac Risk in the Young is a charity dedicated to identifying heart problems in young people so that are fewer deaths like Sam's. I would be immensely grateful if you could give a little to help make a big difference!

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.
