Story
This August, I will be embarking on a remarkable journey, walking the entire length of Hadrian's Wall from Wallsend to Solway Firth. This demanding Coast to Coast Walk spans an impressive 87 miles and will test my endurance as we cover more than a marathon's distance each day for three consecutive days.
The team and I are motivated by the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Our efforts will support the New Hope Children's Centre, a vital facility in the Uplands, Kenya, dedicated to rescuing and nurturing orphaned children and abandoned babies. Over the years, our fundraising initiatives for New Hope and the surrounding community have been instrumental in constructing crucial infrastructure, such as classrooms, libraries, and houses.
This year, our focus is on providing essential resources to meet urgent needs. With the global cost of living crisis affecting the community, we aim to raise funds for basics that are often taken for granted—blankets, plates, cups, and cooking pots. Most importantly, we aspire to ensure that the children have access to food and formula milk, essential for their well-being and growth.
My fundraising target for this endeavour is set at an ambitious £1,500. Every donation, regardless of the amount, will have a profound impact on the lives of the individuals at New Hope. Your generous support will enable us to alleviate their hardships and provide them with a chance for a brighter future.
Join us in our quest to create lasting change. Together, we can make a tangible difference and bring hope to those who need it most. Thank you for your invaluable support!
