Story

hello my names Nathan mathews and I’m going to be running in the London marathon 2025 on the 27th of April.

having entered the ballot and being unsuccessful for 7 years on the bounce, to have finally received a place to run in the London marathon I couldn’t be happier!

And what better way than to raise money for pendle side hospice while doing so after receiving a charity place with them.

I’ve ran all kinds of races from 5/10ks, half marathons right up until a 23 mile run in memory of a friend, but I always stopped short of a marathon as I’ve said I won’t do it unless it was the big one, the London marathon and now I can finally fulfill this!

It’s hard to find many people from the Burnley and pendle areas who don’t know someone whether it’s a family member or friend who has or is being cared for at the pendleside hospice, if you do you’ll know and appreciate the great job they do there, and to carry on doing so they need the support and funding.

So from now up until the race I will be thinking of ideas that will help me raise the money to reach my target. (These will be posted on my social media)

Your support and any donations would mean the world.

Thank you in advance.

Nathan
