Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·

The Royal Parks is THE eco-friendly marathon. For the last 85 years, Diabetes UK has been at the forefront of diabetes research. We've discovered how to put type 2 diabetes into remission. And were working day in, day out to find a cure.

Story

Welcome to my Royal Parks Half Marathon profile page for Diabetes UK. Did you know someone is diagnosed with diabetes every two minutes? As many as 4.8 million people are living with diabetes in the UK right now. So, I'm running towards a healthier me, and a better future for people living with diabetes. Support my challenge by hitting the donate button on my profile page.

My main reason for running for Diabetes UK is the little guy pictured at the top of my page. This is Logan. I've known Logan since he was born and as many of you will know he is one of my favourite humans. Logan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in November 2023 when he was 6. I have other friends with diabetes too and my Popa also developed type 2 diabetes later in his life. I'd love it if one day there could be a cure for diabetes to help Logan and everyone else I know affected by it.
