NW Hearts is a charity close to my heart! It is a local charity, supporting people and their families across Greater Manchester living with, or at risk of heart disease.

Back in March my dad suffered a heart attack and the emergency treatment from Whythenshawe quite literally saved his life.

Unfortunatly, there are many more people I personally know that have also been affected by heart conditions and I was surprised to learn that Heart and Circulatory disease account for 1 in 4 deaths in the UK. This figure is even higher in Greater Manchester!

The health of the people in Greater Manchester has been worse than the England average for many years. Not everyone gets the heart treatment they should receive at the time they really need it.
