Story
As a parent, I never imagined that my child would be diagnosed with Leukaemia. It's a world that no one should have to experience, yet every week, around five children in the UK and Ireland are faced with this devastating reality. That's approximately 1820 children each year. While the survival rate has improved, there are still types of childhood cancer with lower cure rates, highlighting the urgent need for further research. Tragically, cancer remains the leading cause of death by disease for children, claiming the lives of around 230 young ones annually. This is why Tadpoles Nursery school are fundraising for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 2024 through the 'Gold Dress up Day' charity appeal on September 26, 2024. Our goal is to raise £300 to support vital research for kinder and better treatment for children.
