Story

On Wednesday 17th April 2024, football will take on rugby in a football match at Meggetland Sports Complex. There will be both a mens and women's match taking place kicking off at 2pm. On the day we will be accepting donations as well as raising awareness of Cardiac Risk in the Young. We will have information leaflets on heart screening available on the day for all spectators.

In December 2023, we lost not just a teammate but a friend to a cardiac condition. We would like to support CRY and the work they do and raise as much awareness as possible. We appreciate any and all donations.

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.

By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
