Story
My beautiful, caring mother, Josey Davies, passed away on 15 April 2019, due to a devastating condition known as Scleroderma. She played a significant role in my life and in the lives of her family, who cherished her deeply. It's still hard to grasp that she has been gone for this length of time. The pain of her absence continues to weigh heavily on us all.
I have signed up to run the Cheltenham Half Marathon in her memory, and to help raise funds for Scleroderma & Raynaud's UK (SRUK). Their mission is to improve the lives of everyone affected by Scleroderma and Raynaud's, by investing in research, improving awareness and understanding of the conditions and providing information and support to all those affected.
Scleroderma is a rare, chronic disease of the immune system, blood vessels and connective tissue. There are 2.5 million people worldwide who are living with scleroderma, including around 19,000 within the UK.
