Story
On the 23rd June 2024 we are challenging ourselves to complete Trek 24, a 24 mile trek along Norfolk coastline, country lanes and fields to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. This incredible organisation is a charity providing life-saving critical care 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year by air and road. Covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, they bring hope to the most seriously ill and injured people in East Anglia.
East Anglian Air Ambulance holds a special place in our hearts. Back in 2019 our Mum suffered a serious seizure, where her heart stopped beating for some time. The incredible team, together with the ambulance service, managed to get her quickly to hospital and provided her with critical life-saving care. Due to their expertise and fast response we gained 3 years more with our lovely Mum, making memories we will cherish forever.
It seems as though this trek is a challenge that was meant for us, as the walk begins and ends at Holkham, the exact spot that Mum was treated all those years ago. The route takes us through the picturesque town of Wells-Next-The-Sea and its harbour, then along the beautiful Norfolk Coastal Path, areas which she loved so much.
We feel proud to be fundraising for this incredible charity and are walking in memory of our beloved Mum.
Thank you so much for your support,
Naomi and Sophie x
