Naomi runs London Marathon for The Miscarriage Association

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Rewind 2 years ago, I never really saw myself as a runner. Since then, I've tackled a lot of 10ks and a few half marathons. So, I decided it was time to bite the bullet and take part in London's Marathon, April 2025 (no wine was involved in this decision!)
I ran my very first 10k in 2022 at Loughborough. I decided then I would run for The Miscarriage Association, so it was only right to do it all over again, this time for 26.2miles!
It is a charity that is and always will be close to my heart and many others. About 1 in 4 pregnancies end in a miscarriage, the odds that you or someone you know will experience a loss, are high.
Grief is perfectly normal and affects people in many different ways and although, it can mentally affect us, we need to remember men, family and friends will suffer the grief too. So, not only will I be running for my two, I will be running for anyone else who has been affected.
£5 - can pay to send information to someone going through pregnancy loss
£10 - could pay for 500 contact cards for a hospital/clinic
£15 - could pay to staff one of their helplines for an hour
£25 - could pay for the technology to run their live chat service for 1 month
£50 - could pay to host two online support groups per week
