Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 14 May 2022 my dear brother in law Ben collapsed and suffered a cardiac arrest in front of my sister Chantal and their two young girls. He died later that day in hospital in Dubai, where they were living at the time. Ben was just 39, fit and healthy, and had run a half-marathon a few weeks before.
His tragic death was so unexpected, devastating and utterly incomprehensible that, even now, 18 months later, I'm still trying to process the fact that Ben is no longer with us. He is loved and missed by so many people.
My incredible mum ran the London Marathon in 2023, also for Heart Research UK. Whilst it's been a very long time since I ran 26.2 miles, she has inspired me to give it my very best shot! I've already started my official 24 week training plan and things are going ok, so far!
Every penny that I raise will go towards the amazing medical research that Heart Research UK carries out, as well as funding research grants and community projects: https://heartresearch.org.uk.
Thank you for your support - it really means the world to me and my family.
