Trekking the Sahara Desert for CoppaFeel!

CoppaTrek! Sahara Desert · 8 November 2025 to 16 November 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
Welcome to my fundraising page for CoppaFeel!
Never let it be said I don't like a challenge, but this is definitely my biggest yet! In November I'll be heading off to Morocco to trek across the Sahara Desert with Giovanna Fletcher and some other famous faces - 5 days, 100km and up to 8 hours of walking every day! It's going to mean roasting hot days and very cold nights camping out in the desert, but it'll all be worth it.
Why am I doing this, you ask? 🤔 Some of you may know about my family's history with breast cancer - we lost my grandma and great-grandma to it and in 2017, my mum was also diagnosed with breast cancer. We're incredibly lucky that it was caught when it was and that she's still with us, but others aren't so lucky. Because of all of this, I'm also classed as being at higher risk of developing it myself at some point - that's why the work that charities like CoppaFeel do is so important!
CoppaFeel's mission is to make sure breast cancer is caught as early as possible, when it’s most treatable. They focus on:
• Educating people – teaching people how to check their chests regularly and spot early signs of breast cancer.
• Raising awareness – through schools, universities, workplaces and festivals, they reach thousands with life-saving information.
• Empowering action – by breaking down taboos around breast cancer, they encourage people to be proactive about their health.
Every penny raised goes straight to the charity so they can continue their amazing work and save more lives. They've set each trekker (if that's a word?!) a fundraising target of £3000 - I appreciate that's a big amount but anything you can give (even the price of a coffee/tea/hot chocolate/any other drink at some point, maybe? 🤷🏼♀️) would be so, SO appreciated!
Thank you so much in advance for your support ☺️ (and if anyone wants to keep me company on some training walks/hikes then please do! 😅)
