I am taking orders for hand knitted garments and donating my labour costs to this amazing charity. I ask for the cost of the wool and then a donation of £10 for a child’s item and at least £20 for an adults item. I can knit anything as long as I have a pattern to work from. The charity helped my husband in 2008 when he came off his mountain bike in Coed y Brenin and fractured his hip. Their service has developed greatly since then and they now provide critical care wherever it is needed.

Having worked in the critical care sector during my 44 years with the NHS I have seen first hand the vital care they now take to the patient on scene. They are an additional service to the people of Wales and is vital.

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.
