After nearly 7 months of conflict, 1.1 million Palestinians face catastrophic hunger and have no access to even basic foods. 28 children, many of them under 12 months old, have died of malnutrition, and 1 in 3 children under the age of 2 are acutely malnourished.

Hunger and conflict in 2024

A staggering 783 million people are facing hunger. There is enough food in the world to feed everyone. Hunger is not inevitable, it is a man-made crisis that disproportionately affects the most vulnerable, such as children and widows. As the ummah, it’s our duty to support these families as they struggle for food.

For 32 years, we’ve been working to address the causes of long-term hunger through empowering projects that provide training and tools to help people become self-reliant. But after a year of sudden, devastating crises, families facing war and drought, and those still recovering from earthquakes and floods need help to access food now.
