Emmaus is a charity that Cadent is very passionate about supporting, not least for its synergy with our Cadent Foundation programme but also our initiatives to ensure that we are providing assistance to those who are struggling to heat their homes in the Cost of Living crisis.

I have never done anything like this before, and thought that pushing myself outside of my comfort zone would help in a small way to raise money for those who constantly live outside of theirs.

Emmaus UK supports formerly homeless people by giving them a home, meaningful work in a social enterprise and an opportunity to get back on their feet again.

For many who ever experience homelessness one of the biggest obstacles they must overcome is a loss of self-esteem. Emmaus provides people with a stable home and the opportunity to regain their self-worth, making a real contribution to their community.
