YEMEN—A FORGOTTEN CRISIS

When emergencies strike, we act and mobilise. We respond immediately to ensure the most vulnerable are protected, their basic needs are met, and lives are saved. Our work is driven by immediate response and effective delivery, but we stay long after a disaster to help restore lives. As an NGO we are guided by our drive to help others, not profit. When emergencies strike, we act to ensure to save lives and protect the vulnerable. When the emergency is over, we stay and help restore lives. We were founded in 2011 in the UK by a group of doctors whose sole focus was to provide assistance and aid to those devastated by conflict. For over a decade we have built an expertise in responding to humanitarian needs to benefit the most vulnerable people affected by conflict, disasters and extreme poverty.

Story

YEMEN—A FORGOTTEN CRISIS

I will be travelling to Yemen to hand deliver your Zakaat and Sadaqa—inshallah.

The Prophet Muhammad, sallalahu alayhi wa salam looked towards Iraq, Sham, and *Yemen* and said:

"O Allah bring their hearts over to Your obedience and relieve them of their burdens."

According to the World Food Programme, "20 million people in Yemen are suffering from hunger and malnutrition."

The numbers are staggering. But behind the statistics are people. Millions of innocent people bear the brunt of the world's worst humanitarian crisis.

In a hadith in Ahmad narrated by Jubair ibn Mut'im says, 'We were with the Messenger of Allah, sallalahu alayhi wa salam on a road between Makkah and Madinah, when he said':

"The people of Yemen are on the verge of ascending upon you as if they are clouds. They are the best (people) on Earth."

The land and people of Yemen have a rich history and important status in Islam. The war, which has dragged the country into ruin and left behind immense poverty.

From the 12th to the 19th of April, alongside Action For Humanity, I will be travelling to Yemen, visiting the most isolated places, to hand deliver at first hand your important Zakaat and Sadaqa, to those who desperately need this.

HOW TO HELP?

I am hoping to raise £20,000 so 333 families can be fed throughout the last 10 days of Ramadan.

With your donation of £60, an entire family will be fed for a whole month.

May Allah reward you and your loved ones.
