Story
In December 2019, our lives were blessed with the birth of our twins, Rafael and Layla. Tragically, Rafael died just two hours before the end of labour. Two years later, the sudden loss of my husband, James, deepened our grief and sorrow.
This month, I'm walking 100 miles to honour Rafael's memory and to celebrate James's birthday on 24th March. I want to show Layla that, no matter how tough life gets, with faith, hope, and a great amount of grit and resilience, we can keep moving forward.
The charity Footprints Baby Loss has been a beacon of hope for us, providing vital support during our darkest days. Without this compassionate community, our journey would have been much harder. I've seen firsthand the positive impact we've made together, and I'm privileged to support other parents facing similar heartbreak.
This walk is for Rafael, for James, and for all families who've had to say goodbye to a precious baby. We carry their memories with us, every step of the way.
