Story

The month of October is the Murray Group month of giving back so we have decided to organise an event that reflects our commitment to the local community and supporting important causes.

We will be hosting a Charity Duathlon (Cycle/Run) to raise funds for the incredible Foundation PCIP from 1st - 31st October. We will be traveling the equivalent distance from Plymouth to Prague and back which is a total of 2,634 kilometres.

PCIP are working extremely hard to reduce the number of Children in poverty across Plymouth and have some amazing projects ran by an incredible team of people behind the scenes. These projects can only continue to work with the additional support from Fundraisers and businesses.

The issue of children living in poverty in Plymouth is both significant and worsening. is all about eradicating poverty in the city. The Plymouth Fairness Commission report written some years ago, described a “Tale of Two Cities”, which highlighted how a child’s life outcomes were wholly predictable depending on the ward they were born into. Today, some wards continue to experience children in poverty levels in excess of 35%.

We are proud to be a part of such great cause. PCIP are having a tremendous impact on these children's lives!
