Story

Hi there, and thanks for visiting our page.

In January 2008, everything changed for our family when our Dad died suddenly from Mesothelioma, which is an aggressive form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.

For this reason, my brother Fraser and I have chosen to raise money for Mesothelioma UK. I’m sure our chosen fundraiser would have received a nod of approval from the old man.

So we’re “Chasing the Sun”, attempting to ride our bikes 200 miles between sunrise and sunset, from Whitley Bay in the North East of England to Ayr on the West Coast of Scotland. We’ve never ridden this distance before in one hit, the route is lumpy, the roads heavy. The legs, body and mind will suffer, but it will be nothing compared to what both those diagnosed with Mesothlioma and their families have to endure.

Like so many other diseases, there is sadly no cure and through our effort we hope to raise some well-needed awareness for this horrific disease.

Thanks for reading and your support is very much appreciated.

Together, we ride against Mesothelioma.

Best wishes

Murray and Fraser
