Story
The Sundarbans, a vast delta region in India and Bangladesh, is home to one of the world's most unique ecosystems. It's also home to thousands of people who have lost their homes to natural disasters, erosion, and poverty.
The Problem
The Sundarbans is a region that is particularly vulnerable to natural disasters. Cyclones and storm surges are common, and they often leave a trail of destruction in their wake. In 2019, Cyclone Bulbul destroyed over 100,000 homes in the Sundarbans, leaving many people homeless.
Erosion is another major problem in the Sundarbans. The rising sea level is causing the Sundarbans to slowly disappear. This is displacing people from their homes and making it difficult for them to find new land to live on.
Poverty is also a major problem in the Sundarbans. Many people in the region live in extreme poverty and cannot afford to rebuild their homes after they are destroyed by natural disasters.
The Solution
We are raising money to help homeless people in the Sundarbans build new brick houses. Brick houses are more resistant to natural disasters than traditional mud houses, and they will provide families with a safe and secure place to live.
Your Donation Will Make a Difference
Your donation will help us provide homeless families in the Sundarbans with the materials and labor they need to build new brick houses. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference.
Please Donate Today
We urge you to please donate today and help us make a difference in the lives of homeless people in the Sundarbans.
Here are some ways your donation will be used:
