Help distribute copies of the holy Quran in simple and easy to understand English.
One of the largest barriers to understand the Quran in a simple and easy manner is the availability of authoritative translations of the Quran in simple and Modern English language. Through the Manifest Quran, the author has translated every word of the Quran whilst maintaining its authenticity, context, and message but in simple language and with minimal usage of explanatory footnotes and brackets.
To encourage you to sponsor this amazing project, I have set a goal of doing 15 push-ups a day for two weeks. This may not seem like much, but as you read on, you will realise how challenging this is for me.
When I was one year old (I am now 12), I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy (heart failure), which resulted in months of intensive care and me being on a ventilator. During this time, I suffered a couple of strokes due to blood clots, some of which also blocked the blood supply to my left foot and turned it black.
As weeks went by, my foot colour never changed back to normal, and my mum was told that this might end up in a leg amputation. However, at that time, the main thing was to keep me alive.
I made an amazing recovery, Alhamdulilah, once I had my heart transplant. The recovery was slow and tough. As my new heart became stronger with lots of medication, we noticed my left foot from near the ankle started to recover. This was truly a miracle from Allah (SWT). However, the recovery was partial, and I ended up losing my toes.
After lots of rehabilitation, I was finally home and slowly learned to walk again. Unfortunately, I did experience a lot of pain when walking due to the weight on my left heel (which is what was left on my left foot). Due to this, I had to have multiple surgeries on my heel.
It came to a point where I couldn't bear the pain anymore, and the medical team went back to the original idea of a lower limb amputation. This was a very difficult decision to make, which took over two years. I underwent the amputation procedure in November 2022.
Alhamdulilah, I am no longer in pain after surgery and have started walking again with a prosthetic leg/foot. I still have challenges, but who doesn't! My heart is doing well too with life long medication, and although I am behind at school due to my slow development and missing a lot of schooling, I am making great progress.
My mum told me about this new project to spread the divine word of Allah (SWT), and I thought it would be fun if I challenged myself to some daily push-ups to help raise money for this amazing project. My big brother keeps going on about the gym, and I thought, "How hard can a push-up be?" But after I tried one, I struggled due to the imbalance in my posture. But to improve my balance and make me stronger, I have challenged myself to do 15 push-ups every day. So far, I have managed a few, but I am getting there. Trust me! I am due to start my challenge on the 30th of July for two weeks. I really hope you can follow my journey, which will give me the power to do that extra push-up!
May Allah (SWT) reward you immensely for your support towards this project 🤲
Jazak'Allah khair - and ‘bring it on’ I say to my big bro 😃
