Story

We are raising funds to purchase hopefully several tablet devices for the department. We plan to use this technology to help us educate patients on oral hygiene, orthodontics, and share photos of oral surgery procedures and laboratory prosthetics that patients with oral cancer and missing teeth can often require. We feel that a picture tells a thousand words and we hope these devices will revolutionise the way we take informed consent in the department and really improve the patients understanding of their treatment.” It is hoped that the devices can also be used to by staff to raise the profile of the department on social media with the department hoping to join the #keepbritainsmiling campaign endorsed by the British Orthodontic Society.
