M's fundraiser for Coeliac UK

Park Runs · 6 July 2025
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most of you know 'M' has coeliac, which is an auto immune disease and controlled by eating a gluten free diet. He was diagnosed at 3 years of age and his Dad diagnosed in his 40’s – which highlights it can appear at any time!
It is estimated that half a million people are undiagnosed in the UK alone and so to raise awareness, as well as funds, is really important - especially to all those people that may not know they have it. Symptoms can vary widely and awareness of what they are could be both a life changer and saver!
For these reasons 'M' will be running a Junior Park Run on 6th July 2025 (2K) in King George Park in Bushey and the Adult Park Run (5K) in Cassioburyy Park, Watford, on 19 July 2025 to wear the brightest orange T-shirt for Coeliac UK and if anyone wants to join him (running, walking, skipping) he would absolutely love it!
Supporting Montes fundraising would obviously be greatly appreciated as the charity Coeliac UK do so much to not only support those that have it but also help with research and policy and has been a massive help to us.
BUT…even if you can’t help with the fundraising we would be even more grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to make yourself aware of the symptoms and even take the questionnaire - and share this information with your friends and family to help raise awareness and don’t forget if you fancy coming along to… or partaking in the park run (adults and kids ;-) ) that would be wonderful!
The more the merrier.
