Story
In July 2025, I'be been convinced by my crazy colleagues to take on the Gower Peninsula Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer.
I lost my uncle to lymphoma a few years ago and sadly, one of our super fit friends died suddenly after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2023 after a very short space of time.
I'm going to channel Ben Smalley as I train because he was a big soul and so determined and fun to be around. May we always remember how short and fleeting life is and grasp any moments we can to really feel alive because there are no guarantees.
We would be so grateful if you could help us reach our £250 pledge, which can pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Diolch yn fawr / thank you.
