Story

"If ever there is a time to bring joy to peoples lives, it's now".

In Danielle’s memory, we’re turning our town yellow—filling it with 5,000 yellow balloons outside businesses, supermarkets, restaurants & pubs, schools, churches, and community spaces. Each balloon represents hope, love, and a life like hers that deserves to be remembered. The 'Happiness' effect this will have on the local community and visitors will be incredible

This is more than raising awareness. It’s about carrying Danielle’s kindness forward and helping create a future where other families don’t have to face the same heartbreak.

We’ll end the day with the Bow Tie Ball—a celebration of love, light, and togetherness, and I know that Danielle would be on the dance floor encouraging everyone to have fun.

If you’re able to, please donate. Your support will help fund vital research and care for those living with Cystic Fibrosis—and help keep Danielle’s spirit alive through something positive.

Thank you for helping us honour her.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 11,000 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis.
