Story
As a teacher and Religious Education Subject Leader at a primary school in Southwark and a MC at St George's Catholic Cathedral in Southwark, I have the privilege of witnessing the power of education and community every day. This year, I am participating in the Great North Run 2024 to support The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD). CAFOD's impactful work resonates deeply with me, as they tirelessly strive to uplift our most vulnerable brothers and sisters worldwide. Your generous donations will directly contribute to initiatives like Maria's story. Maria, a single mother from northeastern Brazil, transformed a disused dumping ground into a thriving vegetable garden with her community, showcasing resilience and determination. In regions like Piau, where Maria resides, access to sustainable energy remains a challenge for rural communities. CAFOD's efforts aim to address these disparities and create lasting change.
I am reaching out to you with an advocacy for support in achieving our fundraising goal of £750 for this meaningful cause. Your contribution will make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals like Maria and her community. Together, let's be catalysts for positive change.
Join me in this journey by donating generously and spreading the word about our cause.
