Please sponsor my 327 mile Cycle through France to Cornwall in September 2025

In September 2025, I'll be setting off on a fun filled 327-mile, 5-day cycling challenge through Normandy and Brittany, concluding with a return to Cornwall. This journey starts in Portsmouth and the cycling can then begin at Ouistreham (Caen), taking us through picturesque French countryside and along stunning coastlines, and finishes at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell.
As many of you know, in January 2022, we lost our amazing Mum, best friend, and happiness maker after her courageous battle with cancer. Her final days were spent at St Julia's Hospice, where she received the most compassionate and dignified care.
Cornwall Hospice Care, through St Julia's, provided Mum with warmth, care, and the utmost respect. I'm taking on this new cycling challenge to express my gratitude for the dedication and kindness shown to her during her final days.
When Mum was admitted to St Julia's in 2021, the support, treatment, and understanding were truly remarkable. Our entire family is forever thankful for their unwavering kindness.
Like my previous rides, this adventure isn't entirely selfless. I'm eager to get back in the saddle, not just for the physical benefits, but also for the mental clarity and time to reflect. It's a chance to remember how incredibly fortunate I was to have a Mum who made everything better.
But most importantly, this ride is for St Julia's. The level of care they provide to families in the Southwest is exceptional and profoundly important. With only 20% of the hospice’s funding coming from Cornwall's NHS Commissioners, they rely heavily on the generosity of people like you. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference.
This is a bigger ride than my last one (my current physic is also a little larger than my previous pre cycling weigh-in!), so plenty of training will be required, I will be posting the odd update on my path to fitness, and during the ride itself. I hope you will follow my journey and support this amazing cause.
Thank you and how about a hug?!
