The mission of Siobhan’s Trust – Ukraine is to provide food and practical support to the huge number of internally displaced Ukrainians, traumatised by the Russian invasion of their homeland.
They can feed up to 4,000 refugees per day from six mobile kitchens supplying pizza and hot drinks and snacks as well as bringing music, dancing and laughter to remind the Ukrainians that they are not forgotten.
The work of Siobhan's Trust is as much about raising spirits and giving hope as much as feeding the hungry.
Our challenge is to cycle a gruelling, trans-Pennine, route from Barlborough Hall Prep School in Derbyshire, to Sedbergh School in Cumbria in just over 24 hours on the weekend of 10/11 June.
Our team consists of 12 cyclists, most of whom are staff from the two schools as well as Sedbergh Prep School and Mount St. Mary's College - my old school!
