Welcome to the Bristol takes on the Budapest Marathon Challenge! These incredible students are taking on the challenge of a lifetime all whilst helping in the fight against meningitis and septicaemia

Story

Students are the 2nd most at risk group of contracting meningitis behind babies and toddlers and the Meningitis Research Foundation are at the heart of the initiative that is working to tackle the disease. Working with the World Health Organisation and leading experts on the disease they aim to defeat meningitis and septicaemia by 2030.

Its been 3 years since my last running challenge so thought why not celebrate with another one. On Friday the 30th of June, starting at 9pm I will be running laps of the Oatlands stray for 12 hours to see how many laps I can complete through the night. Then after the 12 hours is up I will finish the challenge with Harrogate parkrun at 9am on the 1st of July.

I will then be participating in the Budapest marathon on October the 15th with other students which will hopefully be a more interesting run!

Every little helps so please donate if you can!

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
